A SECOND OPINION BEFORE YOU BUY
What is TellMeWhy?
TellMeWhy is a web app and Telegram Mini App for getting a second opinion before making a purchase. You share an item, its price and your reasons. Friends or community members respond with “Buy it” or “Wait on it” and explain why. You make the final decision.

How do I ask for an opinion?
Create a request with the item name, price and currency, and why you want it. You can describe an alternative and attach up to three photos. Choose the community or a private circle and set the voting rule. A request can finish after one opinion, after a chosen number of opinions, or at a time limit.
Members give a reason with their vote. The author can thank a helpful response with a flower. The result is a perspective to consider, rather than permission to spend.
Do I need Telegram?
No. Open the browser app and use an email verification code. A verified email creates an account if you are new. Telegram is another way to enter the app. Email and Telegram accounts are currently separate.
Can I read a request before voting?
Yes. Opening a request's description lets you read the full application, photos and participation progress without automatically watching it. Other members' votes and reasons remain hidden until you participate.
If you choose “come watch” before voting, the app asks you to confirm spectator mode. After confirmation, you can view the responses but cannot vote on that request. Reading the description or a public preview alone does not change your voting eligibility.
Can friends comment on my request?
For your own community request, enable a public preview and share its link. Friends can read the request and photos before signing in. They must sign in to give an opinion while voting is open. The preview does not expose other members' votes or reasons. You can disable the preview; enabling it again creates a new link.
What is public, and what stays private?
This website describes the product. Inside the app, community requests are visible to signed-in members. A public preview is optional: anyone with its link can read the request and photos. Private circle requests stay within the circle and cannot enable a public preview.
Public preview pages ask search engines not to index them. That request is not an access control: do not put private contact, payment or personal information in a request or photo. Send account, data or support questions through Feedback in the app.
Is TellMeWhy a shopping store?
No. TellMeWhy is a place to discuss a purchase decision. It does not sell the items in requests, connect to your bank, or make your purchase for you. Other members' opinions do not replace your own budget, product research or professional advice.
